Fire Meditation
In the winter I have a morning meditation. It starts in October and ends in April. It is one I have to do in the morning whether I like it or not, more to the case whether I want to be warm or not. Before morning tea or toast with sleep still in my eyes I must create fire.

Green Canvass
Hugelkultur is an old European technique, which is basically composting woody debris in place. My spiral creation, is the dreamy stuff that humus is born of. The black creme coming from the raked up driveway mush, a compote of garden clippings have given me raised beds on an old lawn. Phase two is the planting with acid friendly, soil-less-hardy, mulch loving potatoes.
